Agitators With Hydrofoil Impellers

Hydrofoil impellers are composed of two to four narrow tapered and cambered blades. The three-blade configuration is the most common in industries. Their blade angle increases from the tip to the hub. These impellers generate an axial flow pattern. Hydrofoil impellers maximize the fluid flow while producing a low shear rate and consuming the least energy, making them more efficient than pitched blade impellers.
